It's only a hobby. But when I am out there and having an intimate moment with an animal - like a gaze - I realize I am at the border between animal kingdom and human kind and I feel blessed that the animal allows me to capture it on film.
Philosophy & ethics
No AI. Just light.
Everything here is edited in Lightroom Classic — exposure, contrast, white balance, a crop when I framed too optimistically. No AI-generated images, no compositing. If a bird looks unreasonably close, that was the lens, or the zoo.
The animal decides.
Whether it's a deer in a field or a snow leopard behind glass, the photo isn't worth stressing an animal for. I keep my distance, let the lens do the work, and if something clearly wants to be left alone, I leave. Plenty of good sightings never became photos, and that's how it should be.
